Hello Fall!

When I think of the disturbing times that we are living in, it almost feels a little silly and maybe even just a little bit selfish for me to be posting here about a dress and a pair of boots.

I personally need a distraction in my life right now, because lately I’m feeling satiated with negative and bad news. I can’t bear to hear another news story about: Covid, politics, or the social inequalities that routinely permeate the society around us today.

It’s not that I don’t care, because I do, I really do! I just choose to approach the situation a little differently than most. I recognize what is within my power to fix and I recognized what is not.

Right now my priority is keeping focus on being the woman, wife, and mother that God says I need to be.

At the end of the day, I know that if I do my part, He is going to take care of the rest. Now you may or may not agree with me on this, but that’s okay as we all get to choose our approach.

And if we can’t agree on how we choose to deal with the problems in the world right now, can we at least agree on how cute this outfit is. LOL.

I know I said at the beginning of the year that I was making no new purchases, well all that changed a few months ago when I was going through an unexpected and stressful Covid-related job change.

I have no regrets about my purchases, because they are quality pieces that I intend to keep and wear for as long as I can. Who knows —- Maybe I will try the no purchase challenge again in 2021. We will see. 🙂

I found the dress marked down to $29 on Ropuddles.Com and these Macy’s Alfani leather riding boots marked down to $33 purchased from a small reseller on Walmart.Com.

Wearing them really added the spark of joy that I desperately need in my life right now.

I fee like this Ankara dress was made for me! I love EVERYTHING about it. I’m more of a geometrical kind of girl so the circles really spoke to me.

I also love this color green. It screams Fall.

Running with the circle theme, I paired it with silver studs, a silver circular choker necklace, and my newly acquired black riding boots that have a silver ring accent at the top.

So what about you guys? How are you doing? How are you coping. Let me know in the comments below.
